Power Steering System
The power steering system is a typical hydraulic servo system, and all processes are realized dynamically: the rotation of the input shaft opens the oil circuit, and the oil pump supplies oil to the working chamber. When the ground resistance is high, the piston does not move, and the oil pressure in the working chamber continues to increase. When the oil pressure increases to a certain extent, the thrust generated on the piston side is large enough to overcome the steering resistance of the wheel, which will push the rack piston to drive the wheel to turn. When the steering resistance of the wheels decreases, the oil pressure in the working chamber will decrease to the point where the wheels can still continue to rotate. At this time, the oil in the other chamber is pushed by the rack piston and returns to the steering oil tank along the return oil path. When the input shaft stops rotating, under the continuous action of the elastic restoring force of the torsion bar and the oil pressure, the oil groove on the input shaft and the oil groove on the valve sleeve return to the middle normally open position, and the oil supplied by the oil pump no longer flows into any cavity, directly returning to the steering oil tank. The above process is repeated until the next steering action starts.

MAINTENANCE TIPS
Do not attempt to weld any broken steering components.
Do not cold straighten or bend any steering components.
Replace the components with original equipment only.
Do not mix different grade of power steering oil.
Never mix brake fluid with the power steering oil.
Use different can for different oil.
Keep power steering oil in a separate can.
Use separate funnel to top up power steering oil.
Keep tyres inflated to correct pressure.
Always clean off around the reservoir filler cap before you remove it.
Prevent dirt and other foreign matter from entering the hydraulic system.
Encourage all drivers to report any malfunctions or accidents that could have damaged steering components.
Clean dust / dirt at least once in a week to avoid possible entry into the system.
Ensure adequate gap to remove reservoir top cover / filter assembly during maintenance at the time of body building.
Avoid fouling of hoses and pipe lines with the chassis / gear. Ensure proper clamping of hoses and pipe lines, whenever engine / transmission gear box is removed & refitted after repairs.
