When a steering damper is installed in the steering system, it can prevent the steering wheel from generating self vibration, while significantly reducing the backlash transmitted to the steering wheel.
In order to make the vehicle have good maneuverability, it is necessary to make the steering wheel have as large a turning angle as possible, with a minimum turning radius of 2 to 2.5 times the vehicle wheelbase.
The portability of steering control is usually evaluated by the magnitude of the tangential force exerted by the driver on the steering wheel and the number of turns of the steering wheel during steering.
The number of turns of the steering wheel from the middle position to the first end of a car shall not exceed 2.0, while that of a truck shall not exceed 3.0.
