Electric power steering (EPS) motor
The Electric Power Steering Motor uses the power generated by the motor to assist the driver in power steering. Composition of EPS: Generally composed of torque (steering) sensor, electronic control unit, motor, reducer, mechanical steering gear, and livestock battery power supply. Compared to mechanical hydraulic power steering systems, electric power steering systems only require power and do not require hydraulic pressure, so many components are omitted. There are no oil pumps, oil pipes, pressure and flow control valves, oil storage tanks, etc. Hydraulic system requires fewer parts, convenient layout, and light weight. And there are no parasitic losses and fluid leakage losses. Therefore, the electric power Steering System can save about 80% energy under various driving conditions, improving the driving performance of the vehicle. Therefore, it has gained rapid popularity in recent years, and is also the development direction of future power steering systems.

Critical parameters:

When the brake pedal is depressed, a poppet valve opens, and air rushes into a pressure chamber on the driver's side of the booster. The pressure exerted by this air against the vacuum pushes a piston, thus assisting the pressure exerted by the driver on the pedal.

1. Hydraulic power steering will start to work once engine is on, but EPS is not connected to engine. So there will be no fuel consumption.

2. The main components of EPS can be integrated together, easy to be arranged and reduce several components compared with hydraulic power steering system, such as Hps Pump, hose, valve,reservoir, etc.

3. The efficiency of hydraulic power steering system is generally 60% to 70%, while the efficiency of EPS is higher, which can reach 90% or more.
