Control strategy

Due to the fact that the hydraulic pump obtains power by controlling the motor through a controller, different control strategies can be obtained by controlling the different rotational speeds of the motor according to different operating conditions. Compared to traditional fuel vehicles, it can save power and energy, reduce the oil temperature of the steering system, ensure the viscosity and lubrication effect of the oil, and improve the service life of the hydraulic pump. In addition, by controlling the rotational speed of the motor, the driver's hand feel of the vehicle at low/high speeds can also be enhanced.

5.4.1 Start and stop control
According to the power-on sequence of the entire vehicle, the driver presses the one button start button, and the entire vehicle detects whether the status of each electrical system is normal through the CAN network. After confirming that there are no abnormalities, a ready command is issued. At this time, the entire vehicle is in the "standby" state, and the gear shift is in the P-gear parking state;
At this time, when the Steering Pump controller receives the ready signal from the vehicle controller, it controls the steering pump motor to start working.

5.4.2 Speed dependent steering
5.4.2.1 When the entire vehicle is in the P-gear parking state, the vehicle has no intention of traveling. At this time, the steering pump controller controls the motor speed to maintain a low rotational speed (the rotational speed that can enable the hydraulic pump to establish pressure), which saves energy and reduces noise.
5.4.2.2 When the entire vehicle is in D/N/R gear, the rotation speed of the steering pump motor operates according to the curve shown in Figure 1 below. The curve can also be adjusted according to the needs of different customer groups to obtain different driving feel;

5.4.3 Static shutdown protection
Considering that the vehicle may be on standby when in use, or the traffic lights may last for a long time, it is specified that when the vehicle is in P gear for more than 5 minutes, the steering pump motor stops and remains on standby. When switched to another gear, the steering pump motor resumes operation. This can not only save energy but also reduce the vehicle noise environment when the driver is waiting.
