Working principle of the automatic transmission oil pump:


The working principle of the automatic transmission oil pump is to provide constant pressure and meteoric hydraulic oil for the hydraulic torque converter and hydraulic control system, and to ensure the lubrication needs of various friction parts such as the planetary gear mechanism. The following is a partial introduction to the automatic transmission oil pump:

1. Installation position: The automatic transmission oil pump is usually installed behind the hydraulic torque converter and driven by the shaft sleeve at the rear of the hydraulic torque converter housing. In the oil supply system of automatic transmissions, there are two types of oil forces: fixed star pump and variable star pump.

2. Quantitative oil pump: Commonly used fixed star pumps include internal Gear Pump, rotor pump, and vane pump. The most widely used pump is still internal gear pump. The internal gear pump is mainly composed of an external gear, an internal gear, a crescent shaped separator, a pump housing, a pump cover, etc. The gears are tightly installed in the inner cavity of the pump body. The external gear is a driving gear, and the internal gear is a driven gear. The liver shaped separator separates the external gear from the internal gear.

3. Variable displacement pump: The amount of oil pumped by the variable displacement pump does not increase after the engine speed exceeds a certain value, thereby reducing the operating resistance of the pump at high rotational speeds and improving the fuel economy of the vehicle.
