    Description
    What is hydraulic power steering?
The term "hydraulic" is just a fancy word for using liquid, which can refer to water, oil, etc. In this case, we use bright pink hydraulic steering oil for our car.
Then we have the term "power steering." When we pressurize the steering fluid and use it in a smart way (which will be detailed later), we gain extra power to help us drive the car more easily. Essentially, hydraulic power steering pressurizes the hydraulic oil, giving us extra power to make our car easier to steer. It is an ergonomic assistive tool designed to enhance control and safety in maneuverability.

Working Principle of Flow Control Valve
There is a metering hole between the pump's oil outlet and the oil chamber. When oil flows through the metering hole at a certain speed, the throttling effect of the metering hole causes the pressure at the oil outlet outside the metering hole to be lower than the pressure at the oil chamber inside the metering hole. If the flow rate of the oil pump is large, the pressure difference inside and outside the metering hole is significant. When the oil pump is not working, under the action of the flow control valve spring, the slide valve is in the rear limit position, covering the pump's oil outlet. When the oil pump is working, if the oil pressure inside the oil outlet is greater than the tension of the control valve spring, it will push the flow pressure control valve body forward, away from the pump's oil outlet. The oil in the oil chamber of the oil pump flows out through this hole.
