Electric power steering motor

Compared to traditional steering systems, electric power steering systems offer many advantages, reflected in higher system efficiency and driving comfort. It is reassuring that in some applications, fuel consumption has been reduced by 6%, which corresponds to a decrease of about 8 grams of carbon dioxide emissions per kilometer. Extremely low cogging torque, low noise, and high power density are the main advantages of Mahle EPS motors. To ensure functional safety, we offer additional options such as dual-wound stators.

Electric power steering motor

The electric power steering system provides power assistance directly from the motor, eliminating the need for hydraulic power steering pumps, hoses, hydraulic oil, belts, and pulleys that are required in hydraulic power steering systems installed on the engine. It can save energy and protect the environment. The electric power steering system is the development direction of automotive steering systems, especially for passenger car steering systems.

Electric steering motor

The electric power steering motor uses the power generated by the motor to assist the driver in steering. The components of EPS generally include a torque (steering) sensor, electronic control unit, motor, reducer, mechanical steering device, and auxiliary battery power supply. Compared to mechanical hydraulic power steering systems, electric power steering systems only require power and do not need hydraulic systems, thus eliminating many components. There are no oil pumps, oil pipes, pressure and flow control valves, or oil tanks. The hydraulic system requires fewer parts, is easy to arrange, and is lightweight. Additionally, there are no parasitic losses or fluid leakage losses. Therefore, the electric power steering system can save about 80% energy under various driving conditions, improving the vehicle's driving performance. As a result, it has rapidly gained popularity in recent years and is the direction for the future development of power steering systems.

High-quality power steering pump

The hydraulic power steering pump is a component of the hydraulic power steering system, providing pressurized fluid to assist in steering. The pump is typically driven by the engine and operates using a belt or pulley system. When the driver turns the steering wheel, the power steering pump delivers fluid to the steering gear, which helps reduce the effort required to turn the steering wheel. The pump is usually located at the front of the engine, near the steering rack or gearbox. Maintaining the power steering pump and fluid level is important to ensure proper steering function and prevent system damage.
