A small smart upgrade helps significantly boost production line efficiency.
Recently, Deli Corporation’s Process Development Department has completed two technological improvements—automating the rotor slot grinding process and implementing gantry robotic arms—focusing on the goals of enhancing production efficiency and quality, thereby injecting new momentum into workshop operations.
01 Automation Upgrade of Rotor Groove Grinding Process: Bringing New Value to Idle Equipment
Addressing issues such as low efficiency under the original manual operation mode, the process team conducted secondary development on idle robots. By improving the core circuit programming, they enabled these robots to handle multiple tasks simultaneously—supporting "one robot controlling two or three machines." At the same time, the loading and unloading bin structures were optimized, and high-precision automatic positioning and intelligent gripping functions were added, allowing this process to operate continuously around the clock. After the upgrade, single-shift production capacity increased by 22%, effectively resolving the capacity bottleneck associated with manual operations while also ensuring greater consistency in product quality.
02 Application of Truss Manipulators: Precision Operations Enhance Production Efficiency
At the workshop production site, the newly introduced gantry robot arm, with its precise movement along the X, Y, and Z axes, is equipped with customized fixtures to enable accurate handling and placement of workpieces. The servo control system and sensor technology it employs ensure micrometer-level operational accuracy. Its straight-up-and-down motion design significantly reduces loading and unloading time, while its modular structure facilitates easy daily maintenance and adjustments. Since being put into operation, this equipment has not only reduced the physical workload of workers but also promoted continuous production on the relevant production lines, enhancing both production safety and capacity and efficiency.
Both of these technological improvements are based on the actual production needs of the workshop, and aim to enhance efficiency through equipment revitalization and technological optimization. In the future, the company will continue to focus on addressing production bottlenecks through technological innovation, steadily raising the workshop’s level of automation and intelligence, and laying a solid foundation for improving both production efficiency and product quality.
